WHAT THEY ARE SAYING.
"The Boom Bap review is the perfect companion to further understanding modern Hip Hop. We may have grown up on The Source and Rap Pages, now we have the Boom Bap Review to lean on for a celebration of those who are truly worthy of praise."
- AWON
"The Boom Bap Review Vol 1: 2019 is a really cool book to keep on my table. When someone picks it up it usually leads to conversations about the albums we love, and eventually about the albums we missed but need to listen to."
- KRUM
“The Boom Bap Review consists of albums that not only identify with the music sonically but also the content.”
- WORDSWORTH
The Boom Bap Review speaks close to my heart. This is my Hip-Hop. So rarely do I read or watch reviews for the type of music I tend to listen to. Larger publications like Pitchfork and The Needle Drop focus on more mainstream or hipster-certified albums, and Hip-Hop publications tend not to dive deeper into the underground focusing only on the surface of what's currently hot and trendy. This series helps identify missing links in your hip-hop vocabulary, and successfully encourages the reader to take the time to explore the recommendations he/she has not heard.
